- Performed all duties expected from the department chairman including setting the strategic plan for the department, updating department laboratories, recruiting of faculty members/support personnel, development of curriculum and coordinating department accreditation.

Post Doctorate Teaching and Research Fellow 1983-1988
- Taught Reservoir Engineering and Petroleum Engineering Lab.
- Made the conceptual design and layout for laboratory equipment capable of mixing and displacing fluids at high-pressure.
- Conducted research in Alkaline and Carbon Dioxide Flooding projects that were funded by the US Department of Energy.
- Was part of a team that compiled and completed Coal Bed Methane database in a project funded by the US DOE
Esso Standard Libya, Brega, Libya 1975-1982
With Esso I had the following responsibilities:
- Supervisor of gas production and dehydration
- Supervisor of oil production operations including gas lift system
- Workover engineer: repaired casing leaks, performed plug back and reporferations
- Drilling engineer, was a team member that drilled 6 on land wells and one off-shore exploratory well
- Production and reservoir engineer prepaired workover programs, allocated production rates for wells
- Company representative in a reservoir study conducted with a consultant in Houston to model an oil reservoir using a black oil simulator. This study laid the foundation for a successful water injection program in one of the company major oil reservoirs.
