KEY PROFILE

• Conducting operations: work on drilling rigs and platforms to prepare operations or take part in intricate operations. Supervise well drilling and help to solve day-today technical problems.

• Planning and design: produce drilling and completion programmes, forecasts the timescale and budget for operations, analyses and optimises methods and processes. Select the equipment and controls costs. Orders and supervises special studies by head office or engineering service companies. Manage the relative budgets.

• Contract management, project and drilling site supervision: Prepare tenders, produce technical specifications then select suppliers. Takes part in the fabrication and acceptance of equipment and manage relations with contractors.

• Operations supervision and engineering studies: supervising and assisting with operations and carries out studies for other departments.

• Drilling instructor / trainer: Drilling and IWCF well control trainer at all levels. Develop client-specific and advanced training courses and training materials. Industry experience includes cementing, well intervention, coiled tubing drilling and HPHT deep well control consulting and training.

  • Investigated drilling accident where drilling mast was broken. Carried engineering analysis to               discover the reason for the accident.
